Stiebel Eltron developed tankless electric water heating technology 90 years ago and continues as the industry pioneer and world leader. Our engineering and manufacturing tradition of excellence means you can depend on the performance and reliability of our products. Instead of storing hot water, DHC models are tankless, heating water instantaneously and endlessly as it flows through the unit. They are 99% efficient, and, unlike tank-type water heaters, have no stand-by energy losses. No venting is necessary, and the sleek, compact European design even allows for installation with the unit visible. DHC models are ideal for residential and commercial point-of-use sink applications including: bathrooms, cabins and cottages, office buildings, stores, malls, warehouses, restaurants, and gas stations. DHC models are sized based on the flow rate of the sink you are plumbing for hot water. The temperature of the hot water delivered by a DHC depends on the temperature of the incoming cold water, the water flow through the unit, and the size of the DHC model that is installed. DHC models excel at supplying water at a constant temperature rise but must be carefully matched to the application in order to operate properly. Refer to the DHC Sizing Guide and Temperature Rise Chart under More Views to determine which model you need. Call Stiebel Eltron at 800.582.8423 if you have any sizing questions.

Stiebel Eltron developed tankless electric water heating technology 90 years ago and continues as the industry pioneer and world leader. Our engineering and manufacturing tradition of excellence means you can depend on the performance and reliability of our products. Tempra whole house tankless electric water heaters never waste energy storing hot water, but deliver it as needed, as long as needed. The compact design needs no venting, allowing for installation close to draw off points, making the wait for hot water as short as possible and maximizing energy savings. Tempra tankless water heaters are sized based on the number of bathrooms and your climate. Refer to the Tempra Sizing Guide under More Views to determine which model you need. Call Stiebel Eltron at 800.582.8423 if you have high flow showers, or any sizing questions. Tempra models supply water at a constant temperature from 86 to 140 degrees F that is settable on the front panel. We recommend setting the actual highest temperature you use, typically 107 degrees for a shower. Tempra Plus models incorporate Advanced Flow Control to automatically reduce flow rates to deliver water at the set point if demand exceeds capacity. Regular Tempra models lack this feature and should be considered if this is not of concern. Tempra 36 models provide hot water for 3 or 4 bathrooms in warm climates or 3 bathrooms in cool climates, and with a power draw of 150 amps, necessitate 300 amp minimum total service to the house.
