Mark did our two bathrooms which we have been extremely happy with. Everything was handled in a very professional and friendly manner from the beginning until the finish. I actually enjoyed having them working in my home and always felt very comfortable. The price was excellent in comparison to others and the work was outstanding. I would highly recommend Mark.

Mark remodeled our two bathrooms which we are happy with. They look fabulous! He worked in a very professional and friendly way. Mark communicated well and went out of his way to give us what we wanted. He told us how long it would take, which was reasonable and was finished in that time. The price was excellent in comparison to others and the work was outstanding. I would highly recommend Mark. He is a great guy!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others?
A. We Use few subcontractors, the owner does most of the work and he is a journeyman at all residential trades, an expert plumber (starting trade) and a master tile setter(also a starting trade 1989). When one person does all the work for 25 years he knows what works and what doesn't, 100% of the responsibility falls on his shoulders. We do not get call-backs for problems precisely because we do not cut corners and do shabby work. For the owner, pride in workmanship is is the primary driver. When a company uses subcontractors they have little control over them and typically suggest "easy" options or simply do not suggest any alternate options....it is easier this way for them. We can make many suggestions throughout the project when they pop-up during the remodel. Homeowners love us for thinking outside the box and offering customized ideas when they avail themselves. Additionally, if the owner is doing all the work, you can surely trust him..he has his reputation and career on the line. A 25 year perfect record is an added bonus to trusting him while he is in your home...
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. We design and build. There is noting more gratifying than to design something on paper, then see it through to completion.
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Kitchens and bathrooms. Though we take on any bath/kitchen remodel, we tend to make structural or "layout" changes such as move the toilet/tub/sink around, or in a kitchen we will knock down walls, move doors, relocate the appliances, all to maximize the look and functionality of the design.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. At 19 years old, I already had a love for working on cars, trucks and boats. I've been tinkering with such things since I was 14. I had a roommate who was a tile setter, I worked at a plumbing store. Eventually I put the two trades together and started Wagner Tile and Plumbing, from there I branched out to do complete bath/kitchen remodels. I learned the old fashion way by working with expert tradesman, not Youtube videos :)
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. Ability to redesign on the fly. Once the walls are opened up, new ideas become possible. My customers love the options I give them.
Q. Do you do anything to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. Since the great recession, many folks have jumped into construction without being qualified. It is not enough to know a trade when dealing with homeowners. It is necessary to be able to communicate with the client, ask questions and most importantly, answer them. Additionally, we are working in a person's home, this requires respect for their property (collateral damage), as well as their comforts during the remodeling project (dust, accessibility, functionality of lights, windows, landscaping, pets, etc, etc). It takes time to learn how to accommodate homeowners and you simply cannot learn this from a youtube video. Additionally, it is paramount to hire a licensed contractor, they have so much to lose if they make a mistake. It shows their dedication to the trade as well. An unlicensed contractor has nothing to lose and will most certainly cut every corner they can get away with....
