I am very happy with the work AHI did at my home. Michael was great and very informative. They were not the cheapest but I can say that they were the best. They provided a list of references the first day they showed up so I called a couple of them and they all had good things to say about AHI. The quality of workmanship and care that went into insulating, stuccoing, and painting the house was second to none. Michael made sure that I was happy with the outcome and even wants me to call him 6 month or more if I am not happy with the quality of work (don't think I'm going to need to do that). Also, the utility rebate was completely taken care of by Michael, I didn't have to do a thing. I wish I would have had the house insulated a long time ago, there is deffinately a difference and my family is much more comfortable in the house, especially upstairs! Thanks AHI!

Terrific workmanship, great price--American Home Insulation rocks! I don't recall when I've been so pleased by a home-improvement project. Too often tradesmen either don't show up, or they come late, finish late, and do less than promised. But not so with American Home Insulation. These guys were right there, bright and early, filled with an enthusiasm that they carried with them all through the project, from the first punches in the stucco through the final touches of paint. Mostly out of curiosity I checked on the workers periodically, though I didn't feel I needed to. They worked virtually non-stop--knowledgeably, confidently, cheerfully, with apparent regard for the quality of their craftsmanship. They were also so good-natured and friendly that they were a pleasure to have around. In addition, little favors were done that I hadn't bargained for: bar-becue smoke on the wall was painted over, some cracks were filled, an inside door and small wall were painted, a ridged inner wall was smoothed so much it now looks brand new, smudges on a door disappeared. . . So I see this as a company that gives more than it delivers, not less. Long before our first meeting I'd spent considerable time researching the major procedures and substances involved in home insulation; I also interviewed nine other services before finally going with AMI. What a fortui-tous decision that turned out to be! General Manager Mike Hausam, Job Foreman Oscar, as well as Genaro, José, José Santos, and the other fine craftsmen showed a noteworthy pride in their work, a commitment to excellence, a genuine desire that I be pleased, plus a sense of professional integrity. Mike even mentioned a couple of sections he thought didn't need insulating, though it cost him a profit to say so. He also told me to wait over the weekend to pay him, so I could inspect the work at my leisure to be certain I was pleased with the outcome. It's apparent that as a trustworthy man himself, he trusts his workers to live up to the standards he sets. Then, when he came by to be paid, he told me that even if a month or a year down the road I noticed a problem with the stucco match, I should call him and he'd fix the problem. So, am I satisfied? Well, as you can surely tell: yes, extremely! Not one to be uncritical, I've looked at the work for days, trying to find flaws that needed correcting; but to my surprise the workmanship is every bit as good as my friend had told me it was for him: it's impossible to spot where most of the holes were. The stucco match is amazing--and I defy anyone to see a difference in the paint hues. Frankly, I hadn't believed it was possible to achieve such a fine match. So I'm even more pleased than I'd expected to be--even after my friend's praise, even after the high impression I'd already gotten from Mike. In fact, I'm so stoked about the quality of the work that I've been gleefully dragging visitors and neighbors over to see the fine job: it looks as though I've just gotten a new paint job for my whole house, and with nary a glitch. The work is super-lative, and except for an empty water bottle and a few tufts of cellulose here and there, the clean-up was so well executed that I didn't need to spend the usual disgruntled hour or two picking up after workers. Thankfully, Mike's crew had already done that. So I just dusted off the window frames and swept up a little grit off the patio. My neighbors were impressed with the transformation. And when my per-snickety brother-in-law inspected the work, he said that when he insulated his house, he'd be using American Home Insulation. Really, I'd urge every-one to do likewise. I'm confident you'll get good value for your money. What I'd anticipated as an annoyance to be endured turned out to be a rather enjoyable experience, with a happy conclusion that has me feeling like a winner. Best of all, in addition to the conservation of energy and the diminished heating bill, the house feels cozier and quieter. Even my feet were pleased when they stepped onto tiles that used to be freezing on winter nights, but now feel just right. Thanks to Mike and everyone else for the excellent work--and for the best price of anyone else I interviewed. And thanks to my neighbor's contractor Jim McClung for the introduction. By the way, I wasn't asked to write this testimonial. It's just that as a teacher, I believe in sharing the wealth of info. Though I don't generally take time to write accolades like this one, my present enthusiasm impels me to do so. In short, I give AMI my highest recommend-ation. I can scarcely believe the experience of that other reviewer. My bet is that you'll be treated well, you'll pay a fair price, and you'll be happy with the work. You can call me One pleased perfectionist cheapskate!

Our house was built around 1970 and had no insulation in the exterior walls. The second floor of our home was always 10-15 degrees warmer than the first floor during the summer. The thermostat is located on the first floor so even when using the A/C, it was always much hotter upstairs. We had AHI blow in insulation into our exterior walls last year. What a difference! The temperature variation from upstairs to downstairs is now only a few degrees. Rarely do we run the A/C in the summer and the heat hardly ever turns on in the winter. Our home is so much more comfortable. We've been here for 20 years. I wish we'd had the insulation done sooner. I was pleasantly surprised that with all the holes they had to drill in our exterior stucco, that you can't even tell after they were finished. They did an excellent job in patching and painting. You'd never have known that they looked like Swiss cheese during installation. We used AHI after our neighbor used them. After we had our house done, another of our neighbors had them do their insulation as well. We're all pleased with the results.

I found American Home Insulation here on Yelp. Our home was built in the 60s without any insulation in the exterior walls. I called Michael and he came and gave me an estimate and explained the whole process to me. He honored the estimate he originally gave us even though we had to wait 90 to do the work. The crew for AHI was very professional: considerate and thorough. The guys doing the insulation worked quickly and the crew who did the patching and painting restored the exterior as if the work had never been done. We are thrilled with the outcome and would completely recommend AHI to anyone!

AHI deserves more than 5 stars here :) Not only do they deliver 110% top quality work at a fair price they will also process any qualifying rebates from the gas company for you! Mike provided me with a lengthy list of reference customers local to my neighborhood. Price was well worth the quality of the work. They got my home insulated completed all the cosmetic work in one day! That night my family and I immediately felt the difference and my sons bedroom is no longer a freezer. Great care was taken by James to ensure that you couldn't tell where the holes had been drilled in the stucco and wood sidings. James even pointed out the difference in color between my south and north facing walls. Left me the extra paint too :) one for the stucco and one for the wood. I was very happy with this project! If you have an old house with no insulation call these guys right away.
